Flume’s ‘Never Be Like You’ joins the 1 billion stream clubFlume Never Be Like You Feat. Kai

Three years following its momentous release, a glittering staple of Flume‘s catalog, “Never Be Like You,” has gathered an astonishing one billion streams across buffering platforms–a watershed waypoint in an already star-spangled profession.

The Kai-assisted cut was among those lead singles in the prestigious Australian Companion ’s sophomore album, SkinCare. The tune that is constructed foregrounds a number of Flume’s artistic advantages song constructions which derive their eccentricity out of chord couplings that are creative and glitchy beat arrangements.

In acknowledgment of their accomplishment, The Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA) and the Australasian Mechanical Copyright Owners Society (AMCOS) have awarded Flume differentiation on the 1,000,000,000 listing, a running roster of Australian artists who have eclipsed the coveted grade. Flume is the third thing to grace the list: Collars comprise Dean Lewis (“Be Alright”) and Nat Dunn, who co-wrote Marshmello and Anne-Marie’s “Friends. ”

“Flume’s songwriting and production has had a massive effect on how music sounds, and his victory has opened doors for his fellow Australian creators,” APRA, AMCOS chief executive, Dean Ormston, said.
