Sadly festival postponements have come to be a regular part of the music news cycle as of late due to COVID-19. Soon after NYC’s Governors Ball stopped their 2020 event in late March, Hangout Music Festival has followed suit and postponed their yearly occasion in Gulf Shores, Alabama indefinitely on account of the worldwide pandemic.

The beachfront festival was designed to occur from May 15 – 17 using a heavy-hitting lineup topped by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Post Malone, and Billie Eilish, along with a list of dance favorites including Illenium, Louis the Child, Madeon, Big Wild, and more. The festival announced the information on social networking, saying the City of Gulf Shores gave notice of this festival’s inability to proceed in 1 month’s time along with the promoters are actively looking into rescheduling for sometime this year, however, no date may be verified at this time. Hangout will make an announcement in the coming weeks regarding ticket prices. In the meantime, read the festival’s full announcement below.
