Marshmello has been doing his part to encourage racial justice in the aftermath of the passing of George Floyd.

The disguised DJ and manufacturer recently took to social websites to discuss with a screenshot of a 50,000 payment he left into the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, a significant legal organization that”seeks structural changes to expand democracy, eliminate disparities, and achieve racial justice in a society that fulfills the promise of equality for all Americans.”

Marshmello has been outspoken about Floyd’s departure along with the nationwide protests that ensued, taking Twitter to discuss his thoughts on May 30th. “Black culture and influence play a big part in the music I make,” he also wrote. “The systematic racism and injustices that the black community face on a daily basis is something that no white person can relate to or begin to understand.”
