Magnum announces its latest campaign with singer and activist, Halsey

Halsey stars in Magnum spot from LOLA MullenLowe to inspire and encourage others to Take Care of what brings them pleasure

Magnum ice cream has announced its most recent collaboration and boldest campaign with music sense, creative and activist, Halsey.

Magnum has always believed that we should be in a position to pursue whatever it is that brings joy to us and that a day without joy is a day lost. Whilst the barriers that exist can’t be discounted, the ice cream brand, in partnership with Halsey, desires to continue to inspire and motivate everybody to be true for themselves.

A champion for ingenuity, Halsey has always believed that nobody should be held back. Having broken down barriers throughout art songs and culture, she uses her voice and platform to convey her own pleasures, herself and beliefs.

Talking about the campaign with Magnum, Halsey stated: “I have pushed myself and people around me to express themselves, and to do what makes them really happy. I’m happy to be partnered with Magnum for this campaign that compels people to embrace their uniqueness and research what happiness means to them. My hope with this campaign is that it can inspire people to flaunt their identity because without the amplification of voices that are unique and self-expression there is no musicians and no art. ”

As someone who uses it as a form of self-expression and takes pleasure in changing her style, the ‘Be Kind’ singer showcases different appearances in this season ’s most magnificent campaign film and bold stills.

LA-based photographer Peter Don captured Halsey in a package of stills that were striking. Known for his job illustrating some run of artists’ journeys, Don catches Halsey’vibrancy and s imagination and also her embodiment of all Magnum’s ‘true to delight ’ ethos.

Peter has worked with Halsey for at least five years and joined her on her ‘Manic’ earlier this season, planet tour, to capture her ultimate pleasure — songs being pursued by her. Peter’s stills to Magnum bring about life Halsey’s exceptional attitude.

The campaign is complemented with a film directed by Martin Werner, which features Halsey alongside a collective of people from all over the Earth, all with individual stories of overcoming barriers pursue what makes them happy and to live their truth. Starring alongside Halsey is singer DJ and LGBTQIA+ activist, Kiddy Smile.

Singer, Kiddy Smile is now a champion for identity and a fashion provocateur. Growing up in a neighborhood, in Paris, he frequently faced severe barriers. Kiddy expects which everyone is able to live in a universe where they can be authentic to who they are and explore and express themselves without limitations or judgements. Magnum has a long heritage of working with creative disruptors and has surfaced with established and up and coming talent, championing trailblazers.

Halsey recently launched the Black Creators Funding Initiative (BCFI) to highlight the voices and talents of appearing black creatives and Magnum has united Halsey within her commitment by donating US$50kpound & /;39.6k into the origin, together with another US$50k/£39.6k to businesses working to encourage and Enhance LGBTQIA+ listeners in the black community. To further shine a light on up and coming talent Magnum will be commissioning an artwork by one of the BCFI recipients.

On 16 July, Halsey can carry out a digital live gig in collaboration with Magnum. The collection will visit Halsey perform some of the greatest hits, including new Marshmello collaboration ‘Be Kind’, in a raw pared-back and beautiful arrangement. The gig will soon probably be available to watch via YouTube and will bring people together from around the world to share in the worldwide pleasure of audio.
