2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards Officially Postponed

The 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards are formally postponed.

The service is being rescheduled as a result of the expanding coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic .  The awards show was designed to occur Sunday March 29th at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, but would take place.

IHeartRadio supplied an announcement (see more below):

As you might be aware, the Shrine at Los Angeles recently announced that it is officially closed for events through March 31the oldest — which includes the iHeartRadio Music Awards scheduled to air on FOX, Sunday, March 29. The safety of our clients, employees, spouses and artists is our priority. IHeartMedia and FOX will aim to reschedule at the proper time and will provide information and relevant upgrades as they become available. Refunds have been issued to ticketed guests.

This season, Dance Artist of the Year nominees include radio-friendly acts Diplo, Kygo, Loud Luxury, Marshmello and The Chainsmokers.

Dance Song of the Year contains: “Body” — Loud Luxury featuring brando, “Close To Me” — Ellie Goulding, Diplo featuring Swae Lee, “Here With Me” — Marshmello containing Chvrches, “Higher Love” — Kygo & Whitney Houston, and “So Close” — NOTD, Felix Jaehn & Captain Cutsv including Georgia Ku.
